{"id":64516,"date":"2025-04-21T07:37:12","date_gmt":"2025-04-21T07:37:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=64516"},"modified":"2025-04-21T07:37:12","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T07:37:12","slug":"police-storm-black-spots-arrest-78-in-abuja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/04\/21\/police-storm-black-spots-arrest-78-in-abuja\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Storm Black Spots, Arrest 78 in Abuja"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a major crackdown on crime, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested 78 suspects during coordinated raids across several districts in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The late-night operation, which took place on April 19, targeted notorious black spots and uncompleted buildings in areas such as Tungan Maje, Kubwa, Jabi, Nyanya, Kabusa, Karmo, Utako, Dawaki, and Gwarinpa.<\/p>\n<p>According to security sources, the raids began around 11:40 pm and were based on actionable intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>During the sweep, police recovered dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and other banned substances.<\/p>\n<p>All suspects are currently undergoing screening and interrogation at their respective police divisions.
