He pointed to Section 14 subsection 3 of the 1999 Constitution, which mandates fair representation of all regions in federal appointments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe constitution is very clear. This is not a personal attack. I am simply doing my duty as a legislator,\u201d Ndume declared. \u201cI have the right to voice these issues. In fact, I have the right to protest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He warned that the apparent imbalance in appointments could pose serious consequences for the country\u2019s unity if left unaddressed.<\/p>\n<p>Anticipating possible backlash, Ndume dismissed any fears of criticism, insisting that lawmakers are duty bound to scrutinise government actions and hold the president accountable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur role is to provide oversight over the actions of Mr President and highlight these irregularities.
