As preparations gather pace for the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration, hopes are high among rural communities in the Federal Capital Territory as plans unfold for the President\u2019s visit to the grassroots.<\/p>\n

The Minister of the FCT, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, disclosed this during a thorough inspection of infrastructure projects in Gwagwalada, Kwali, and Bwari Area Councils on Saturday, April 5, 2025.<\/p>\n

He revealed that President Tinubu is expected to personally commission completed projects in these councils as part of activities marking his two years in office.<\/p>\n

Wike stressed that the visit is aimed at bringing the President closer to rural dwellers, ensuring they directly feel the impact of governance beyond the city centre.<\/p>\n

“We are working hard to ensure Mr President visits at least one or two Area Councils,” Wike said. “Let the people see that this is their President, not only commissioning roads in the cities but also connecting with them in their communities.”<\/p>\n

The Minister, visibly satisfied with the progress of key projects, particularly highlighted Gwagwalada, Kwali, and Bwari as likely venues for the presidential visit.<\/p>\n

He noted that significant projects such as the Law School in Bwari are on track for completion ahead of the milestone event.<\/p>\n

Underscoring President Tinubu\u2019s vision for balanced development, Wike reaffirmed the administration\u2019s dedication to easing congestion in the city by investing in satellite towns and improving the quality of life for residents.<\/p>\n

“This is the President’s vision, to decongest the city and improve life in the satellite towns. We are delivering on that promise,” Wike declared.<\/p>\n

The anticipated visit is expected to boost morale in rural communities and showcase the administration\u2019s unwavering commitment to inclusive development.<\/p>\n

According to Wike, all hands are on deck to ensure that projects reach completion in time for the President\u2019s commissioning tour during the anniversary celebrations.<\/p>\n

Residents across the Area Councils are already eagerly awaiting the historic visit, which promises to bring the seat of power closer to the people.<\/p>\n
