Richard Yunana, over allegations of compensation fraud in Gishiri village.<\/p>\n<p>The coalition, which includes the Abuja Original Inhabitants Youths Empowerment Organization, FCT Youths Network, and Abuja Grassroots Ambassadors, dismissed the fraud claims as speculative and unfounded.<\/p>\n<p>In a joint statement, the groups noted that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, never mentioned Yunana in any official communication.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is unfortunate that a dedicated civil servant is being dragged into controversy based on mere speculation,&#8221; they stated.<\/p>\n<p>They clarified that compensation disbursement falls under the Resettlement and Compensation Department, not the Executive Secretary, and insisted that no payments were made before demolitions were carried out.<\/p>\n<p>The coalition urged an independent investigation into the allegations and commended the minister for increasing the compensation budget from N655 million to N1.3 billion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ifeoluwa Odunayo A coalition of civil society organizations in the Federal Capital Territory has called for a fair hearing for the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, Engr.
