{"id":62433,"date":"2025-03-09T15:40:59","date_gmt":"2025-03-09T15:40:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=62433"},"modified":"2025-03-09T15:40:59","modified_gmt":"2025-03-09T15:40:59","slug":"nigeria-will-rise-again-can-president-declares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/03\/09\/nigeria-will-rise-again-can-president-declares\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria Will Rise Again \u2013CAN President Declares"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okon, has expressed unwavering optimism that Nigeria will overcome its current struggles and rise again.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Sunday as a special guest at the Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), in Abuja, Okon acknowledged the widespread despair among Nigerians due to hunger, poverty, insecurity, and disease but emphasized that hope is not lost.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur nation has been gripped by hopelessness for too long, with many at their breaking point.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yet, in this season of crisis, the Church stands as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path to a new Nigeria where righteousness, peace, and love shall reign,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He praised the Catholic Church for its steadfast commitment to the Gospel and social justice, urging it to continue inspiring positive change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour prophetic voice, tireless advocacy for truth and equity, and unwavering stand for justice remain a guiding light in these trying times,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>Reaffirming his belief in Nigeria\u2019s renewal, Okon declared, \u201cNigeria will rise again!
