{"id":62138,"date":"2025-03-05T03:06:32","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T03:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=62138"},"modified":"2025-03-05T03:06:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T03:06:32","slug":"police-debunk-kidnap-claims-reveal-how-ex-immigration-boss-died","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/03\/05\/police-debunk-kidnap-claims-reveal-how-ex-immigration-boss-died\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Debunk Kidnap Claims, Reveal How Ex-Immigration Boss Died"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Patrick Idowu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nigeria Police Force has debunked reports that former Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), David Shikfu Parradang, was killed by kidnappers in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>According to the FCT Police Command, Parradang was found dead in a chair inside his hotel room after hosting a female guest.<\/p>\n<p>A police statement issued by SP Josephine Adeh, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the ex-NIS boss checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, on March 3, 2025, around 12 p.m., driving a black Mercedes-Benz.<\/p>\n<p>He paid \u20a622,000 for a one-night stay and later received a female visitor, who left at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns over his well-being arose when a military officer, a close friend, traced him to the hotel in the early hours of March 4, 2025. Upon entering his room, Parradang was discovered lifeless, seated in a chair.<\/p>\n<p>The Durumi Police Division was alerted, and officers secured the scene, took photographs, and gathered evidence.
