Oluremi Tinubu, has renewed calls for 35% affirmative action in governance, advocating for greater female representation in decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the Exhibition on Art for Governance held at the National Assembly Library in Abuja on Tuesday, Tinubu, represented by Hajiya Fatima Abass, Wife of the Speaker, stressed the need for women\u2019s inclusion in policy-making.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, organized by the Office of the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, in partnership with Echoes of Equity and the Ministry of Women Affairs, aimed to push for gender inclusion in governance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWomen play a vital role in national development, yet their representation remains low,\u201d Tinubu stated.<\/p>\n<p>She urged the National Assembly to fast-track the passage of the Affirmative Action Bill, which seeks to secure at least 35% female participation in the legislative and executive arms of government.<\/p>\n<p>She called on lawmakers, civil society groups, and the public to support policies that empower women and amplify their voices in leadership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ifeoluwa Odunayo Nigeria\u2019s First Lady, Sen.
