NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, attributed the delay to a lack of released funds.<\/p>\n<p>NANS National Vice President for Inter-Campus Affairs, Felicia Akinbodunse, criticized the delay, questioning why corps members remain unpaid while federal workers and some state employees have started receiving the new minimum wage.<\/p>\n<p>She described it as a &#8220;grave injustice&#8221; that could dampen corps members&#8217; morale amid economic hardships.<\/p>\n<p>NANS vowed to engage NYSC leadership for answers and urged the government to intervene, ensuring corps members receive their rightful entitlements without further delay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Adenike Lawal The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has called on the Federal Government to investigate the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), over its failure to implement the newly approved N77,000 monthly allowance for corps members.
