{"id":61663,"date":"2025-02-21T20:43:44","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T20:43:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=61663"},"modified":"2025-02-21T20:43:44","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T20:43:44","slug":"psc-elevates-38-acps-100-csps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/02\/21\/psc-elevates-38-acps-100-csps\/","title":{"rendered":"PSC Elevates 38 ACPs, 100 CSPs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Ade Iyamoye<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 138 senior police officers, advancing 38 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to Deputy Commissioners (DCPs) and 100 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) to ACPs.<\/p>\n<p>Announced in Abuja on Friday by PSC spokesperson Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, the promotions were finalized during an extraordinary plenary session led by the Commission\u2019s Chairman, retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Hashimu Argungu.<\/p>\n<p>Notable officers elevated to DCP include Emmanuel Deenom, Olufemi Takeet, Yusuf Doki Sani, Joseph Habakkuk Anche, and Faruku Umaru.<\/p>\n<p>Others are Benedict Omotomilola Olomo, Bernard Adedayo Ojewale, and Mohammed Lawal Bello, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Among those promoted to ACP are Ibrahim Mohammed Agava, Akinloye Joseph Oyegade, Rilwanu Mohammed Dutse, and Anthony Olusola Ojo.<\/p>\n<p>Notable mentions include Joy Ugo Elemoke, Mansur Mahmud Tafida of Ekiti State Command, and Chinyere Ajuolachi Akalaga, DPO of Lokogoma, FCT.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Argungu reaffirmed the Commission\u2019s commitment to merit-based promotions and urged the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to national service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ade Iyamoye The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 138 senior police officers, advancing 38 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to Deputy Commissioners (DCPs) and 100 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) to ACPs.
