{"id":61557,"date":"2025-02-19T14:27:40","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T14:27:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=61557"},"modified":"2025-02-19T14:27:40","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T14:27:40","slug":"man-kills-friend-in-fct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2025\/02\/19\/man-kills-friend-in-fct\/","title":{"rendered":"Man kills friend in FCT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Ifeoluwa Odunayo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The FCT Police Command has arrested 23-year-old Iliayasu Mohammed for allegedly murdering his friend, Safillahi Muhammad, after inviting him for a meal at his home in Dantata Village, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).<\/p>\n<p>According to FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, officers responded to a distress call at 1:30 PM on February 13, 2025, and arrived to find Muhammad unconscious in a pool of blood with multiple cutlass wounds.<\/p>\n<p>He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary investigations revealed that Mohammed, an ex-convict, is linked to a criminal syndicate that targets motorcyclists.<\/p>\n<p>During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and provided details about the gang\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p>A manhunt is now underway for other fleeing gang members.
