Ltd. before the Federal High Court in Lagos on charges of cyber terrorism and internet fraud.<\/p>\n<p>The defendants\u2014Su Dong Fu, Zheng Xian Tao, Wang Shi Long, Pan Cai Qi, Ting Liao, Fan Jia, Feng Li Cani, Lu Yong Yao, and Yang Chen Cheng\u2014pleaded not guilty before Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke.<\/p>\n<p>The EFCC linked them to a larger network of 792 suspects arrested during the December 10, 2024, Eagle Flush Operation, which targeted cryptocurrency investment and romance scam syndicates.<\/p>\n<p>They face multiple charges, including cybercrimes, identity theft, and possession of fraudulent documents.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor M.K. Bashir requested trial dates and urged the court to remand the defendants.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Aneke scheduled hearings for February 21 and March 7, 2025, and ordered their detention at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The case follows the EFCC\u2019s arraignment of 11 other Chinese nationals on similar charges days earlier, underscoring the agency\u2019s intensified crackdown on cyber-related financial crimes in Nigeria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Gabriella Ogbu The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arraigned nine Chinese nationals and Genting International Co.
