Residents of Karu, Jikwoyi, Kurudu, and Orozo in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) have expressed appreciation to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for the ongoing road rehabilitation in their communities.<\/p>\n

During a recent visit by Abuja City Journal reporters to assess the impact of the 20-kilometer road project spanning Orozo, Kurudu, Jikwoyi, Karu, and Nyanya, residents lauded the development, citing improved business activities and smoother transportation.<\/p>\n

Yakubu Samuel, a boutique owner in Karu, commended the minister, attributing increased patronage to the near-completion of the road.<\/p>\n

\u201cThough construction is about 85% done, we are happy. This is the first time we\u2019re witnessing such development here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Akinwande, another resident, noted a significant improvement in traffic flow, contrasting it with past congestion.<\/p>\n

Similarly, civil servant Samson Adebayo recalled the road\u2019s previous poor state, which caused frequent accidents, gridlock, and dust-related health issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s all changed now, and business has improved significantly,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

Deborah, a shop owner in Kurudu, expressed relief over the drainage system, which she believes will curb erosion during the rainy season.<\/p>\n

Taxi driver Okechukwu Chinoso also praised the administration, noting, \u201cThis government has remembered us; no more dust in this area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another resident, Esther Aremo, highlighted how the improved road network has attracted customers from across Abuja, boosting local businesses.<\/p>\n

She urged authorities to install speed bumps to prevent reckless driving and commended the contractor\u2019s dedication, including nighttime construction, to expedite the project.<\/p>\n
