Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reinforced his commitment to expanding tertiary education with the inauguration of the Osi Campus of Kwara State University (KWASU).<\/p>\n

The landmark event, held in Osi town, Ekiti Local Government Area, marks a decisive step in his administration\u2019s pledge to complete abandoned projects and drive inclusive development.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, AbdulRazaq declared the completion of the Osi campus a testament to his administration\u2019s resolve to deliver impactful projects.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the new facility is more than an infrastructure milestone\u2014it is a catalyst for educational advancement, economic growth, and regional development.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe inauguration of the Osi campus is proof of our unwavering commitment to ensuring that no project in Kwara is abandoned.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a bold step toward fostering prosperity and academic excellence for our people,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Originally initiated by former Governor Bukola Saraki, the Osi campus remained stalled under successive administrations, including that of former Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.<\/p>\n

However, AbdulRazaq\u2019s administration broke the cycle of neglect, completing and commissioning the facility despite economic challenges.<\/p>\n

He likened its completion to that of the long-delayed Kwara Polytechnic main auditorium, which his government successfully delivered in 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmid inflation and rising costs, we remained steadfast in our promise.<\/p>\n

“Today, we present the Osi campus as a symbol of strategic planning, resource management, and resilience,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n

Equipped with modern lecture halls, laboratories, and studios, the Osi and Ilesha Baruba campuses aim to strengthen human capital development and position Kwara as a center for innovation.<\/p>\n

AbdulRazaq urged the KWASU community to maximize the campus\u2019s potential, calling it a breeding ground for future leaders and professionals.<\/p>\n

State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, hailed the project as a bold move to bring education closer to the people, while KWASU Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sheikh Jamiu Luqman, commended the governor\u2019s unwavering commitment to higher education.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe completion of this campus is a testament to your dedication to advancing education in Kwara,\u201d Prof. Luqman remarked.<\/p>\n
