The UNRWA disclosed that it had provided the coordinates of the building to all parties involved in the conflict twice, with the latest communication sent on Friday. While initial verification of the information was challenging, the agency reported that four UN employees, residing in the guest house, had evacuated shortly before the attack. With over 1.5 million people displaced due to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the UNRWA condemned the attack, citing more than 60 damaged UN facilities in recent weeks, predominantly schools repurposed as emergency shelters.
