{"id":58736,"date":"2024-12-30T20:05:18","date_gmt":"2024-12-30T20:05:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=58736"},"modified":"2024-12-30T20:05:18","modified_gmt":"2024-12-30T20:05:18","slug":"wike-assures-fair-compensation-for-residents-affected-by-road-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/12\/30\/wike-assures-fair-compensation-for-residents-affected-by-road-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Wike Assures Fair Compensation for Residents Affected by Road Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Alexis Uchendu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has pledged fair compensation for residents affected by ongoing road construction projects in Abuja, assuring that all processes will adhere to due procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a project inspection on Monday at the Judges Quarters in Katampe District and access roads, including the RR1 and Shehu Shagari Expressway interchange, Wike reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to transparency and fairness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRelocation and compensation will follow due process.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will ensure all affected residents are adequately compensated for any property acquired for these projects,\u201d the minister stated.<\/p>\n<p>He called for community support, emphasizing the benefits the projects will bring to the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImagine how it was and see how it is now.
