\nRivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has described the political crisis with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, as a pivotal experience that strengthened his leadership.
\nSpeaking at the Christmas Ballad hosted by former Governor Peter Odili in Port Harcourt, Fubara revealed that the challenges deepened his resilience and broadened his perspective on leadership.
\nFubara credited God as the source of his strength, acknowledging the support from the people of Rivers State.
\n\u201cMy strength is drawn from every one of you who is here. You gave me encouragement, did the work, and made the calls for me.
\n“So, why wouldn\u2019t I stand up for you?\u201d he said, emphasizing his commitment to the people.
\nThe governor promised continuous progress, lauding the determination of state leaders who resisted pressures and stood firm against tyranny during difficult times.
\nDr. Abiye Sekibo, former Minister of Transport, praised Fubara’s leadership, calling it a source of pride for Rivers people.
\nFormer Governor Peter Odili commended Fubara’s success in preventing the state from being \u201ccaptured as a private estate.\u201d
\nJustice Mary Odili also expressed admiration for Fubara’s role as an emancipator and assured her family\u2019s ongoing support for his administration.
