Canon Olowolagba, his wife, and their children, abducted along Iboropa Road in Akoko North-East, Ondo State.<\/p>\n<p>The abduction occurred while the family was traveling from Ipesi to Isua Akoko.<\/p>\n<p>Their absence was discovered the next morning when church members noticed they had neither arrived at Ikaram nor returned home.<\/p>\n<p>Among the victims are the bishop\u2019s daughter, a student at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, and a nine-year-old girl.<\/p>\n<p>Negotiations with the kidnappers have fluctuated. The initial \u20a675 million demand was reduced to \u20a610 million, then raised to \u20a615 million after partial funds were gathered.<\/p>\n<p>However, the abductors have reverted to their original demand.<\/p>\n<p>Amotekun Commander Chief Adetunji Adeleye confirmed that the state security outfit, in collaboration with local hunters, is conducting a rescue operation.<\/p>\n<p>Rt. Rev. Babajide Bada, Bishop of Akoko Anglican Diocese, expressed hope for a swift rescue, saying, \u201cAmotekun and hunters are combing the bushes to ensure the victims are rescued.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Basiru Aminu, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Akoko North-West, has called for prayers for the victims&#8217; safe return.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, state police spokesperson Funmi Odunlami said the case had not been reported to any police station.
