Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have neutralized a notorious bandit known as “Al\u2019jan” in Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State, bringing relief to terrorized communities.<\/p>\n
“Al\u2019jan,” a Niger Republic native, rose from being a motorcycle taxi operator to a key figure in criminal networks after joining a gang led by Hassan Bamamu.<\/p>\n
His intimate knowledge of the Tsafe region made him a key player in kidnappings, raids, and murders.<\/p>\n
Counterterrorism expert Zagazola Makama identified “Al\u2019jan” as a central figure in multiple high-profile crimes, including the killings of Anas Umar Dan Kanti, Alhaji Musa Ille, and a Navy officer.<\/p>\n
The bandit was eliminated three weeks ago during a joint operation near Mada and Yandoton Daji in Tsafe.<\/p>\n
Residents of Bamamu village, his final hideout, confirmed his identity, marking the end of his reign of terror.<\/p>\n
Communities along the Tsafe-Gusau road, previously plagued by attacks, have since expressed relief and optimism for lasting peace.<\/p>\n
