{"id":57827,"date":"2024-12-10T18:16:31","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T18:16:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=57827"},"modified":"2024-12-10T18:16:31","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T18:16:31","slug":"tinubu-appoints-ogunjimi-as-acting-agf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/12\/10\/tinubu-appoints-ogunjimi-as-acting-agf\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu Appoints Ogunjimi as Acting AGF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Alexis Uchendu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Shamseldeen Babatunde Ogunjimi as the Acting Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), following the pre-retirement leave of Dr. Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein.<br \/>\nThe appointment is effective immediately.<br \/>\nMr. Ogunjimi, a seasoned financial expert with over three decades of civil service experience, brings a wealth of expertise to the position.<br \/>\nPrior to his appointment, he served as the Director of Funds at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), and as Director of Finance and Accounts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<br \/>\nHe holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accountancy and a Master\u2019s degree in Finance and Accounting.<br \/>\nA chartered accountant, Ogunjimi is also a certified fraud examiner, stockbroker, and specialist in securities and investments.<br \/>\nPresident Tinubu underscored the critical role of the OAGF in managing the nation\u2019s finances.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Office of the Accountant General of the Federation is central to our nation\u2019s treasury management.<br \/>\nMr. Ogunjimi\u2019s extensive experience and proven competence will ensure the continued efficiency of this key institution as we drive forward our economic reform agenda,\u201d the President said.<br \/>\nThe President also lauded Dr. Madein for her exemplary service to the nation, noting her dedication and contributions during her tenure.<br \/>\nShe is set to retire on March 7, 2025, upon reaching the statutory retirement age.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Alexis Uchendu President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Shamseldeen Babatunde Ogunjimi as the Acting Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), following the pre-retirement leave of Dr. Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein.
