Michael Oluwagbemi, has called for an accelerated adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), in Nigeria, emphasizing innovation, efficiency, safety, and sustainability as key drivers of the revolution.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the Autogas Nigeria Annual CNG Conference 2024, held December 4, 2024 at the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, Oluwagbemi underscored the importance of CNG as a cleaner, cost-effective energy alternative critical to Nigeria&#8217;s energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>Themed &#8220;Accelerating the CNG Revolution: Innovation, Efficiency, Safety, &amp; Sustainability,&#8221; the conference gathered policymakers, industry experts, and stakeholders for plenary sessions, exhibitions, and technical workshops.<\/p>\n<p>A highlight of the event was a technical workshop on improving vehicle conversion efficiency to achieve a 3-4 hour turnaround per vehicle, promising a significant boost to the adoption of CNG technology nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, the Special Adviser to the President on Finance, Mrs. Denike Balogun, a member of the PCNGI Steering Committee, visited the organization\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>She praised PCNGI\u2019s efforts and shared strategic insights on advancing Nigeria\u2019s clean energy agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur progress so far demonstrates the immense potential of CNG in reducing carbon emissions and creating sustainable economic opportunities,\u201d Balogun stated.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also featured exhibitions of CNG products, vehicle conversion equipment, financing options for installations, and networking opportunities for industry players.<\/p>\n<p>It reaffirmed Nigeria\u2019s commitment to cleaner energy solutions while addressing global sustainability goals.<\/p>\n<p>The event ended with a call to action for stakeholders to unite in driving Nigeria\u2019s CNG revolution forward.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Our Correspondent\u00a0 The Program Director, Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI), Engr.
