Katsina State Police successfully rescued three abducted victims from armed bandits in the village of Gogalo in the state’s Jibia Local Government Area.<\/p>\n
The victims, abducted by armed men wielding AK-47 rifles on Saturday, were swiftly located in response to a distress call by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Jibia. The DPO promptly mobilized a search and rescue team that tirelessly combed the surrounding bushes until the early hours of Sunday.<\/p>\n
At approximately 0600hrs, the police team engaged the suspected kidnappers in a fierce gun battle. Despite the intensity of the firefight, all three kidnapped victims were successfully rescued unharmed. An ongoing investigation is in progress, and authorities are committed to bringing the fleeing suspects to justice, as stated by ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state.<\/p>\n
Commending the exemplary bravery of the operatives involved, Commissioner of Police CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa urged citizens to remain vigilant and report timely information on criminal activities. He emphasized the importance of swift and decisive action to curb criminal activities in the state.<\/p>\n
