Said Alkali, described the project as a transformative step towards a more affordable, efficient, and eco-friendly transportation system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese buses symbolize the government\u2019s commitment to empowering citizens while transitioning to a cleaner energy economy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By switching to compressed natural gas, we are reducing carbon emissions, lowering transport costs, and fostering a greener transportation sector,\u201d Alkali stated.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the program\u2019s immediate benefits, the minister announced 40 days of free rides for Abuja residents as part of the rollout, urging transport unions to ensure proper usage and maintenance of the buses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not just about today but about building a sustainable transportation system for future generations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I call on Nigerians to embrace this initiative and work with the government to create a nation where innovation thrives and opportunities abound,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Programme Director of the Presidential CNG Initiative, Engr.
