Emelife, NNPC\u2019s Chief Supply Chain Officer, the company emphasized that the new system will serve as a secure, exclusive marketplace for end-to-end procurement of goods and services.<\/p>\n<p>Key benefits include accelerated contracting cycles, reduced costs in line with the Presidential Directive on Petroleum Sector Contracting Costs (2024), and improved collaboration between stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new system, procurement activities\u2014such as requests for quotations (RFQs), bid submissions, contract negotiations, purchase orders, and invoice processing\u2014will be fully digitized on the Ariba platform.<\/p>\n<p>This transition is designed to streamline workflows, minimize manual processes, and enhance the supplier experience.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure a smooth transition, NNPC will host a Suppliers Summit on December 3, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The summit will provide detailed guidance on the platform\u2019s features, including supplier registration, navigation, and best practices for collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>NNPC reaffirmed its commitment to building a transparent and efficient procurement ecosystem as part of its broader strategic objectives.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This transition is a step toward redefining procurement standards in the Nigerian oil and gas sector,&#8221; the company stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Alexis Uchendu The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced its transition to a cloud-based procurement system via the SAP Ariba platform, effective January 1, 2025.
