Hunger exists, but so does hope, and you are part of that hope,\u201d he told JBS executives.<\/p>\n<p>JBS S.A., known for processing 33,000 cattle and over eight million birds daily across 50 countries, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Wesley Batista, JBS founder and president, described Nigeria as a potential hub for protein supply across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to working with you. Nigeria offers a great opportunity for business and collaboration,\u201d Batista said, pledging to visit the country soon.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the president\u2019s visit, a Nigerian delegation led by Minister of Livestock Development Idi Mahia toured JBS operations in Sao Paulo, Brazil, studying advanced livestock practices and zero-waste processing.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation, which included notable figures such as Attahiru Jega and Aisha Rimi, identified JBS as a suitable partner due to its global reach, innovative technologies, and $79 billion annual revenue.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu\u2019s outreach aligns with his administration\u2019s focus on attracting international investment to drive food security, reduce poverty, and boost economic growth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Samson Adeyanju\u00a0 President Bola Tinubu has invited JBS S.A., one of the world\u2019s largest meat processing companies, to invest in Nigeria\u2019s $2.5 billion livestock sector.
