{"id":56473,"date":"2024-11-19T13:41:08","date_gmt":"2024-11-19T13:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=56473"},"modified":"2024-11-19T13:41:08","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T13:41:08","slug":"yedc-distributes-1880-meters-to-band-a-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/11\/19\/yedc-distributes-1880-meters-to-band-a-customers\/","title":{"rendered":"YEDC Distributes 1,880 Meters to &#8216;Band A&#8217; Customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Emmanuel Ogbodo<\/p>\n<p>The Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC), has launched the distribution of 1,880 prepaid meters to Band A customers under the Meter Asset Funds (MAF), Scheme.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative targets Band A customers who stopped receiving electricity subsidies in April and aims to provide accurate billing and improve customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from YEDC\u2019s Communications Officer, Blessing Tunoh, the deployment of meters is part of the company\u2019s ongoing efforts to enhance service quality.<\/p>\n<p>The meters include 1,500 single-phase and 380 three-phase meters, with installations scheduled to take place from November 18 to November 30, 2024, by approved vendors.<\/p>\n<p>The project, which is part of the Presidential Metering Initiative, has received approval from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).<\/p>\n<p>Under this initiative, the meters will be provided at no cost to customers.
