Super Eagles Caretaker Coach, Augustine Eguavoen has declared his team is in Abidjan to beat the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.<\/p>\n
A point will be enough for the Super Eagles to secure their place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals to be hosted by Morocco.<\/p>\n
Eguavoen, however said they want maximum points from the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll fight for every ball and for every point, and that\u2019s what we want to do tomorrow (today),\u201dhe told the Super Eagles media.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn respect to that, Benin is not a pushover, but we will work hard to make sure we achieve our objective,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Eguavoen also reckoned the Cheetahs head coach Gernot Rohr, who managed the Super Eagles for around six years is familiar with the team.<\/p>\n
The former defender however insisted they know what to expect from their opponent as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe worked with Gernot Rohr for so many years. He was our head coach, and he\u2019s a very good one, no doubt. He knows us in and out, he\u2019s part of us, but we know him inside out as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know what he\u2019s capable of, and he knows Nigeria is a country you don\u2019t toil with. We respect them, and we\u2019ll play with the mindset that we come into games with and that\u2019s to win, but it\u2019s easier said than done,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
