The President, Catholic Women Organisation of Abuja Archdiocese (CWOAA), Mrs. Ebele Lilian Okoye, called on Catholic mothers to live out their sacred vocation with unwavering commitment.<\/p>\n
She stressed that motherhood extends beyond the family unit, urging women to carry out their divine roles in the Church and society with the same level of devotion and dedication they bring to their homes.<\/p>\n
Making the call during the CWOAA’s 30-year reunion held at St Aloysius Primary School on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The event, known to be a gathering of faith, unity, and purpose, was graced by members of the CWOAA who highlighted the essential role of women in both family and society.<\/p>\n
Addressing the gathering, Mrs Okoye explained that “Motherhood is a call to perform our sacred and supreme vocation.”<\/p>\n
She encouraged the women to uphold principles of authority, compatibility, purpose, and commitment in all areas of life.<\/p>\n
The celebration also saw contributions from prominent clergymen, including Rev. Fr. Victor Ogunyemi and Rev. Fr. Chidebere Umeh, who emphasized the importance of spiritual formation and the role of women in shaping future generations.<\/p>\n
Fr. Ogunyemi noted that Catholic women must not only be socially involved but spiritually invested, seeing their roles as a collaboration with God.<\/p>\n
In his address, His Lordship, Most Rev. Anselem Umoren, representing Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama, urged mothers to live simply, embracing Christ\u2019s teachings of compassion, forgiveness, and humility.<\/p>\n
His message resonated with the attendees, who were reminded of the transformative power of living a Christ-centered life.<\/p>\n
The event also featured an opening Mass, awards, and various activities that celebrated the strength, grace, and dedication of Catholic mothers in the Archdiocese.<\/p>\n
