Public sector employees are being pushed by the Kwara State Government to register with the Kwara State Residents\u2019 Registration Agency as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
According to the state administration, employees will not be eligible for bonuses or their November income if they are unable to secure a legal resident registration number.<\/p>\n
This was mentioned in a statement issued Monday in Ilorin by Dr. Hauwa Nuru, the Commissioner for Finance, and signed by Babatunde Abdulrasheed, the Press Secretary for the ministry.<\/p>\n
According to Nuru, the registration procedure started in July.<\/p>\n
She pointed out that in order to enhance planning, resource management, service delivery, public safety, and other areas, KWSRRA is required by law to collect information on all state citizens and provide each person a unique identity.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn line with the administration\u2019s commitment to accountability and transparency in resource management, a directive has been issued mandating all state employees, including those across the 16 local government areas, to complete their registration.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom November, any worker who has not registered will not receive salary payments or bonuses,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The commissioner further stated that KWSRRA registration is an important step toward developing a complete and accurate database that will help Kwara to better serve its inhabitants. Ensuring that all state employees are registered strengthens our payroll system, improves service delivery, and instills faith in our operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe integrity of our data affects all our financial and administrative systems. A complete database helps us make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure that every eligible worker is compensated fairly and accurately,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
She asked those state employees who have not yet enrolled to go to their local KWSRRA center and finish their enrollment as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
