The Nigerian Air Force has launched a series of air operations that killed scores of terrorists in Zamfara and Kebbi States.<\/p>\n
NAF in a statement signed by its Director Public Relations and Information, Olusola Akinboyewa revealed that the operations followed credible intelligence of terrorists\u2019 activities in the locations.<\/p>\n
In the statement issued on Sunday, NAF said it executed the airstrikes using advanced surveillance and precision targeting.<\/p>\n
The statement reads partly: \u201cNAF assets executed a surprise aerial assault on multiple camps, including the strategic Sangeko location in Zamfara, near the Kebbi border, and Ado Aleiro\u2019s heavily fortified enclave around Asola Hill in Tsafe Local Government Area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe strikes not only obliterated a major arms depot belonging to the infamous bandit leader, Ado Aleiro but also neutralised many of his fighters.<\/p>\n
\u201cIntelligence reports and Battle Damage Assessments confirmed the overwhelming impact of the strikes, which resonated throughout the night.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeveral kidnapped victims, previously held captive by the bandits, were able to escape amidst the chaos, making their way to safety in Kebbi State.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome of the victims who escaped provided testimonies detailing their daring flight to freedom,\u201d NAF said.<\/p>\n
