Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has signed five new bills into law, targeting essential sectors such as water supply, health, and education.<\/p>\n
Among these, the Adamawa State Water Supply and Sanitation Hygiene Services Law 2024 aims to improve water services and sanitation, involving agencies like the Adamawa State Water Services Regulatory Commission and the Adamawa State Water Corporation.<\/p>\n
This law signals a step forward in addressing water management and hygiene across the state.<\/p>\n
According to Governor Fintiri\u2019s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, these new laws reflect the government\u2019s commitment to development.<\/p>\n
Wonosikou shared in a press release that \u201cGovernor Fintiri emphasized the importance of collaboration in implementing these laws, ensuring their provisions are understood and adopted by all segments of society.\u201d<\/p>\n
The remaining four laws also focuses on crucial areas for the state\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n
The Adamawa State Health Supplies Management Agency Law 2024 replaces the Essential Drugs Programme Edict of 1996, aiming to streamline the distribution of medical supplies.<\/p>\n
For education, the Teachers Service Commission Law 2024 establishes the Adamawa State Teachers\u2019 Service Commission, while the Adamawa State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology Ganye Law 2024 and Adamawa State College of Nursing Sciences Law 2024 enhance higher education, repealing previous laws governing these institutions.<\/p>\n
