Silva, a former Benfica academy player with close ties to Sporting Lisbon\u2014where his mother and many friends are passionate supporters\u2014recognizes the impact Amorim has had, describing Sporting as a “machine” under his leadership.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on his own past performance, where he scored twice in a 5-0 victory in this stadium two years ago, the Portugal international anticipates a far tougher challenge for Manchester City on Tuesday, facing a Sporting team currently boasting a perfect record in their league.<\/p>\n
“Before he arrived, Sporting hadn\u2019t won the league in nearly 20 years, but with him, the president, and the sporting director all aligned, they\u2019ve achieved incredible results,” Bernardo commented.<\/p>\n
“When there\u2019s competence and unity, the chances of success rise significantly. Tactically, he\u2019s exceptional\u2014the way he prepares his teams is impressive.
