Brekete Family, a prominent Human Rights Radio and Television station based in Abuja, has temporarily suspended its broadcast in protest against the detention of minors involved in the recent #EndBadGovernance protest.<\/p>\n
In an official statement shared on Instagram On the 4th of Novmber, the media station confirmed its partial shutdown, stating, \u201cHuman Rights Radio and Television (Brekete Family) has halted its operations in part to protest the Nigerian government\u2019s detention of underage children.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThis decision reflects our deep commitment to defending the rights of the vulnerable and holding authorities accountable.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe call on all well-meaning Nigerians and international bodies to join us in demanding the immediate and unconditional release of these children.<\/p>\n
\u201cUntil justice is served, we stand firm in solidarity with the voiceless,\u201d the station said.<\/p>\n
The Brekete Family is a popular Nigerian human rights and advocacy radio and television program that serves as a platform for ordinary people to voice their grievances, often concerning cases of injustice, corruption, or mistreatment.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Ordinary Ahmad Isah, the show is widely broadcast on Human Rights Radio in Abuja, reaching audiences across Nigeria and beyond through various media channels.<\/p>\n
“Human Rights Radio will stay closed until Tuesday, pending further discussions on the matter,” he stated.<\/p>\n
He also mentioned that the station would go off air again until Wednesday, when the show would reopen its lines for public input on the issue.<\/p>\n
