The 43-year-old actress shared that she was initially diagnosed with stage three, but it eventually progressed to stage four.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that she feared for her life due to her decision not to follow her doctors\u2019 advice. \u201cMy weight\u2014people don\u2019t understand when I say I can\u2019t afford to put on weight. I don\u2019t want to die. I have little children,\u201d she explained. \u201cI had pushed my body, and it was borderline stage four.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year was an especially trying time,\u201d she continued. \u201cI genuinely thought I was going to die. I had been negotiating with my doctor, who advised me to go home and rest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ufuoma recalled pleading with her doctor, promising to rest after one more day on set. \u201cBut she said, \u2018Ufuoma, I need you to sleep now. If you can, take something to help you rest.
