The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Rt. Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu has said that Alex Ikwechegh will not be suspended, following the recent incident where he assaulted a bolt Driver.<\/p>\n
Hon Kalu said that the matter will be investigated, this is coming after Alex tendered an apology and insisted he is a human who is sorry for his actions.<\/p>\n
According to Kalu, \u201cWe will not give him suspension like everyone in Nigeria wants us to do, for us to \u00a0apply our rules, the house rules those in support of this say hi, those against say nay. Those that support that this goes to house committee and ethics and privilege say hi, those against say nay. Yes the Hi\u2019s have it.<\/p>\n
“The matter is hereby referred to the committee and Ethics and privilege, to look at it and get back to us in two weeks time.\u201d<\/p>\n
