Nigerian activist Verydarkman has sparked concern after receiving a whopping N100 million donation to his NGO account from an anonymous source, totaling N170 million.
\nVerydarkman fears someone may be attempting to frame him for financial misconduct, such as money laundering. In an Instagram video, he appealed to Nigerians for help.
\n“Please, Nigerians, assist me. Someone sent N100 million to my NGO account. Is someone trying to set me up?” he asked.
\nVerydarkman urged Zenith Bank to investigate the transaction, seeking to clear his name.
\n“@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I’m not into money laundering or fraud. Nigerians, bear me witness,” he captioned the video.
\nFollowers have offered encouragement and advice, suggesting involvement of legal and financial experts to verify the funds’ legitimacy.
