Igboho&#8217;s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, announced the petition&#8217;s delivery to the UK Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street on behalf of Prof. Adebanji Akintoye, leader of the Yoruba Nation movement.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the UK government hasn&#8217;t endorsed the petition. British High Commissioner Richard Montgomery assured that the UK doesn&#8217;t involve itself in another country&#8217;s sovereign affairs and has previously rejected similar petitions.<\/p>\n<p>Montgomery explained that allowing petition deliveries at 10 Downing Street is standard practice, but this doesn&#8217;t imply endorsement.
