Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) notified their customers on Monday that there would be an extension of temporary disruption in banking services which is due to migration of its core banking application system to a new one.<\/p>\n
The notice issued by GTB to its nationwide customers reads:<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing our recent notification on the transition to a new and robust suite of Finacle Core Banking Application Systems, we would like to update you that this transition has taken a little longer than planned\u201d<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n \u201cAs a result, all Banking Channels, including our branches, originally scheduled to reopen at 9:00 am will now open by 12 noon today\u201d<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe understand that you rely on our services to carry out important financial transactions, and we apologize for every inconveniences this disruption to our banking services might cause you\u201d<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe ask for your continued support as we complete this transition\u201d.<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n We earlier reported that GTB\u00a0issued a notice to his customers on the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0of October that\u00a0all GTBank branches nationwide will close early at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14th.<\/p>\n Furthermore, there will be temporary disruptions in the bank\u2019s digital banking services for 11 hours, beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13th, and ending at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14th.<\/p>\n During this period, the Bank said its customers would still be able to perform limited transactions via GTBank\u2019s digital channels, including transfers, bill payments, and airtime\/data purchases, while other services would be unavailable.<\/p>\n While noting that the transition was part of its commitment to bringing meaningful improvements to the lives of its customers by leveraging technology, GTBank in the notice said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) notified their customers on Monday that there would be an extension of temporary disruption in banking services which is due to migration of its core banking application system to a new one.
