Nigerian singer Oxlade bravely shared his heart-wrenching experience with racial abuse in France on a recent episode of ‘The Datebizz’ podcast.<\/p>\n
“I’ll never forget the day I was racially abused in Monaco,” Oxlade emotionally recounted. “It was a wake-up call, a harsh reminder of the African stigma that exists outside our continent. But instead of breaking me, it fueled my pride in being African.”<\/p>\n
He continued, “Growing up in Africa, I never felt ‘different.’ But that moment made me realize how others see us \u2013 as lesser, as ‘monkeys’ or ‘strange beings.’ It’s a painful truth, but it also sparked something within me.”<\/p>\n
