Zwingina, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political landscape, served as the Senator representing Adamawa South constituency from 1999 to 2007. Elected under the platform of the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP), he was a two-term senator, re-elected in 2003. During his time in the National Assembly, Zwingina was a key member of several pivotal committees, including Works & Housing, Establishment, Internal Affairs, Information, Special Projects, Privatization, and Economic Affairs. His contributions as Chairman of the Works & Housing Committee were widely recognized, as he played a significant role in shaping policies that addressed Nigeria’s infrastructure and housing challenges.<\/p>\n
Apart from his work in the Senate, Zwingina left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s political history long before his legislative career. He is remembered for his vital role in the historic 1993 presidential election as the Director-General of the \u2018Hope \u201993\u2019 campaign, which was spearheaded by the late Chief Moshood Abiola, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
