Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, will appear before the House of Representatives on Monday over bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).<\/p>\n

VeryDarkMan had released an audio recording of popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, alleging that he bribed EFCC officials with \u20a615 million to have a money laundering case against him dropped. In the same recording, Bobrisky also claimed that he never served his six-month jail term in Kirikiri prison, Lagos, due to arrangements made by his godfather for him to stay in a lodge instead.<\/p>\n

In response to these claims, the House of Representatives has summoned VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky, and the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, to appear as part of its investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n

VeryDarkMan\u2019s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed that his client would honor the invitation, demonstrating his willingness to assist with the probe. Speaking with a correspondent on Sunday, Adeyanju said, \u201cWe will be at the National Assembly tomorrow with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he\/she paid \u20a615m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
