This loss is devastating; it has left the party and the entire state mourning,\u201d said Mr Ebiese.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Ebiese said the party had been deeply devastated by the sudden death of the governor\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we struggle to come to terms with this huge loss, we are compelled to suspend our campaign activities as a mark of respect for her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The PDP spokesman expressed the party\u2019s condolences to Mr Eno and his family and prayed to God to grant him the fortitude to bear the loss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay God Almighty also grant our dear state the strength to trudge on at this time of grief,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom has suspended its local government election campaigns following the death of Patience Eno, the wife of the state governor.
