A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has strongly condemned the continuous verbal attacks on the judiciary by Tony Okocha. In a statement released on Monday, Eze urged the media to stop recognizing Okocha as the chairman of the Rivers APC, affirming that the only legitimate party structure in the state is headed by Emeka Beke.<\/p>\n

Chief Eze, who once served as the National Publicity Secretary of the now-defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), expressed dismay over Okocha’s recent remarks and urged him to stop masquerading as the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Rivers APC.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkocha is an unruly agent playing the spoiler\u2019s script for former Rivers Governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike,\u201d Eze stated. He added that Okocha is a “stranger” to the APC in Rivers State, and the party does not recognize his claim to leadership within its ranks.<\/p>\n

The statement went on to highlight that the Nigerian Bar Association is aware of Okocha’s attacks on the judiciary, emphasizing that any statements made by him should be regarded as his personal opinions and those of his “overlord,” Nyesom Wike.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe uncultured manners, moral defects, and sense of mental ill-being Mr. Okocha has displayed merit decisive disciplinary measures, including expulsion,\u201d Eze declared. However, he clarified that such action could only be taken if Okocha were a member of the party. \u201cOkocha is not a member of the Rivers APC; his name is nowhere on the party\u2019s register, else he would have been expelled long before now,\u201d Eze concluded.<\/p>\n
