Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa has assured Nigerians that notorious bandit leader Bello Turji will soon be apprehended. Turji, who has been terrorizing parts of the Northwest, is currently believed to be hiding in the forests of Sokoto and Zamfara.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the 38th-anniversary dinner of the Nigerian Defence Academy’s 38 Regular Course in Kaduna on Sunday, General Musa emphasized that the security forces are making significant progress in tracking down the fugitive. “We are tracking down Bello Turji. Getting him is just a matter of time,” the Defence Chief stated confidently.<\/p>\n

Musa acknowledged the severity of the security challenges in Nigeria, particularly in the Northwest, but reassured the public that the Armed Forces and other security agencies are collaborating to tackle the issue. He highlighted that insecurity has become a global challenge, despite technological advancements, and urged Nigerians to remain patient as efforts to combat banditry and other forms of insecurity continue.<\/p>\n

He called on citizens to support the military by reporting any suspicious activities, noting that national security is a shared responsibility. General Musa reaffirmed that the security agencies are determined to ensure Turji has no safe haven and will be brought to justice soon.<\/p>\n
