Oredo LGA, where the collation process will resume, is home to some of Edo State\u2019s most influential political figures. Barr. Olumide Akpata, the Labour Party\u2019s governorship candidate and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), cast his vote in Unit 11, Ward 6 of Oredo. This area also holds significant weight for the ruling PDP, as it is the home base of Governor Godwin Obaseki, who has played a crucial role in the party’s campaign.<\/p>\n

In Ikpoba-Okha LGA, another area of intense focus, the PDP\u2019s deputy governorship candidate, Barr. Osarodion Ogie, also hails from this region. The local government is known for being a political stronghold with a significant population that could sway the election in either direction.
