The Centre for Waste Management and Sustainable Resources has taken a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions by training 60 individuals as ambassadors for the Zero Waste Project at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) in Delta State.<\/p>\n
The two-day training, conducted in collaboration with the Community Development Advocacy Foundation (CODAF), aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the Zero Waste Project across all university departments.<\/p>\n
Acting Director of the Centre, Dr. Akinyemi Ogunkeyede, emphasized the critical role of the newly trained ambassadors in driving the sustainability agenda at FUPRE, urging them to take ownership of the project and ensure its long-term success.<\/p>\n
