Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has categorically denied allegations of being involved in a plot to dethrone Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano. This comes after reports surfaced claiming that Ganduje was leading a fresh plot to remove Sanusi, alongside other powerful individuals in Kano.<\/p>\n
Ganduje emphasized that he has nothing to do with the alleged plot, stating that he’s no longer the governor of Kano state or the speaker of the state House of Assembly, and therefore cannot influence the Emirship of Kano. He also dismissed claims that he’s planning to advise the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, to abdicate the throne.<\/p>\n
Ganduje described the allegations as “preposterous and absurd,” highlighting his focus on national issues as the APC leader. He expressed satisfaction with his contributions to Kano state during his tenure as governor and assured that his relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains cordial.<\/p>\n
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Ganduje has faced similar allegations. However, he maintains that he’s been unfairly targeted and that the people of Kano state appreciate his service and leadership.
