The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is taking serious measures to address indiscipline within its ranks. The party’s leadership has decided to probe the activities of some erring members of the executive committees in five states – Taraba, Benue, Oyo, Bauchi, and Gombe – who were accused of various offenses. This decision comes after the national leadership dissolved the party’s executive committees in these states, citing the need to reposition the party for development and goal achievement.<\/p>\n
Chief Ladipo Johnson, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, explained that the probe is a normal step in a dynamic political party seeking to make necessary changes. The suspended party chieftains, including Mrs. Ayobami Idowu Adekunle and Alhaji Rasheed Adebisi Olopoeniyan, among others, will face the party’s National Disciplinary Committee for breaching the party’s constitution through anti-party activities.<\/p>\n
Johnson emphasized that no serious leadership would condone such attitudes, and those affected have been informed of the decision.
