{"id":48969,"date":"2024-09-18T15:24:14","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T15:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=48969"},"modified":"2024-09-18T15:24:14","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T15:24:14","slug":"student-docked-for-alleged-theft-of-two-phones-valued-at-n365000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/09\/18\/student-docked-for-alleged-theft-of-two-phones-valued-at-n365000\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Docked for Alleged Theft of Two Phones Valued at N365,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Halifa Sadik, a 28-year-old student, has been arraigned in a Kano Sharia Court in Fagge on Wednesday, for allegedly stealing iPhone and Redmi cellphones worth N365,000.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant, who lives in Gadon Kaya Quarters in the Gwale Local Government Area of Kano was charged with theft.<\/p>\n<p>Inspector Abdullahi Wada, the Prosecution Counsel, told the court that the complainant, Al\u2019amin Usman, who also resides at Gadon Kaya Quarters, reported the matter at Gawle Police Station, Kano, on September 3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mr Wada alleged that on the said date at 03:30 p.m., the defendant went to the complainant\u2019s room at Gadon Kaya, pretended to charge his phone and stole the two cell phones.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.<\/p>\n<p>The Judge, Umar Lawal-Abubakar admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N30,000 with one reliable surety.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The matter was adjourned until September 30, by Mr Lawal-abubakar for further mention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Halifa Sadik, a 28-year-old student, has been arraigned in a Kano Sharia Court in Fagge on Wednesday, for allegedly stealing iPhone and Redmi cellphones worth N365,000.
