He promised to establish the centre soon, citing the challenges patients face in accessing treatment in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed centre aims to alleviate the stress of accessing cancer treatment in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Aiyedatiwa also highlighted the successes of the Abiyamo Maternal and Child Health Insurance Scheme (AMCHIS), launched by former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme provides healthcare coverage to pregnant women and children under five, recording over 46,741 beneficiaries and 4,265 successful deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Aiyedatiwa mentioned the Ondo State Contributory Health Commission, established to ensure Universal Health Coverage for citizens, with 56,700 enrollees across 203 wards in 18 local government areas.<\/p>\n<p>These initiatives demonstrate Ondo State&#8217;s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for its citizens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has announced plans to establish a world-class cancer treatment centre in the state.
