Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, has approved a minimum initial deposit of N6.5 million from state pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj.<\/p>\n
Muhammad Yunusa, the Information Officer of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, announced this in a news statement published on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The message indicated that “the collection will begin on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.”<\/p>\n
“The board has no choice but to fix this figure in light of the expense of the 2024 hajj fare, which totaled more than eight million naira due to the naira’s devaluation against the dollar.<\/p>\n
\u201cImam Abdurrahman advised the intending pilgrims to pay above the minimum\u00a0 from N6.5M up to N8M so as to enable them easily settle the final fare when announce by the National Hajj Commissioner of Nigeria NAHCON.\u201d<\/p>\n
He reminded everyone that all payments are done through bank tellers, and that the board does not accept cash payments.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, “those who are willing to perform hajj through local governments should collect a customised hajj bank teller from the Hajj affairs officer at the local government secretariat to pay the deposit, and the pay point for the Board’s pilgrims (Bs1) has been transferred to Jaiz Bank.”<\/p>\n
